Vision & Purpose "The Lord's Divine Providence has as its end a heaven from the human race." (Divine Providence 27)

Washington New Church strives to carry out the core purpose of the General Church (the international organization of the New Church to which we belong) through programs that:

1. Provide for the worship of the Lord God Jesus Christ in public and private services in keeping with the life and doctrine of the New Church;
2. Foster the development of a rational understanding of the truths of Revelation;
3. Encourage the spiritual practices of repentance and reformation;
4. Inspire mutual support in living according to what we believe;
5. Offer opportunities for leadership in our congregation and for sharing the blessing of our beliefs with others.
